PDO Threads

Lift and Tighten Sagging Skin With PDO Threads
Our Medical Aesthetics team offers PDO threads – a lifting procedure typically used to tighten sagging skin on the face without invasive surgery.
PDO Threads are implanted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin to lift it upwards. As the threads are tightened, the fat tissue is constricted, and the skin is immediately lifted. Unlike volumisers that leave a solution in the skin, PDO Threads remain in place until they dissolve.

Why Choose PDO Threads
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and firmness, leading to sagging and wrinkles.
PDO Threads offer a non-surgical solution to lift and tighten the skin, providing immediate and long-lasting results with minimal downtime.
This treatment effectively targets areas like frown lines, nasolabial folds, under-eye areas, forehead lines, jawline, neck, crow’s feet, eyebrows, mouth lines, smile lines, lip lines, and even under the chin. It can also be used on various body areas.

Treatment Information
Our qualified cosmetic nurse starts by applying a numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure client comfort.
PDO Threads involve small blunt-tip needles that insert fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads into the skin’s subcutaneous layer.
Polydioxanone is the same material used in surgery to close wounds and used in the lifting procedure. These threads cause micro-injuries that remain implanted in the skin to promote collagen synthesis.
After the threads are in place, they are gently pulled back to tighten sagging areas.
PDO Threads dissolve over time stimulating collagen and elastin production which help to tighten, firm, and lift your skin.
